Empathetic and insightful
Brenda Donald truly cares about her clients. She walked with me through the darkest period of my life and provided a safe, non-judgmental space that allowed me to be vulnerable. She was insightful and obviously knowledgeable, but also genuine and down to earth (not the dime store psychology buzz words and superficial self-care strategies I experienced with prior therapists). Unlike my previous experiences with therapy years ago, Ms. Donald made me feel valued and not condescended to. She treated me with empathy and respect, not like someone broken or a problem to be fixed. If you’ve been turned off by therapy in the past or have been scared to go in the first place, please consider her. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I hadn’t found her!
