Due to the negligence, lack of medical oversight, inadequate counseling, and mismanagement of take-home medication by Beth Israel Methadone Clinic, My Brother Stephen is DEAD... My brother Stephen arrived at the Beth Israel Methadone clinic for his Methadone treatment and due to a non-compliance issue my brother was turned away by a staff member, who told him that he could no-longer receive treatment and told him to go home, while she slammed the door on his finger as she threw him out of the clinic. A week after Stephen was turned away by the Beth Israel Methadone Clinic, he was found dead. Therefore, Beth Israel Methadone Clinic had failed in their duty of care by not only turning away my brother Stephen, but failed to assign him to another clinic to continue his care or by offering Stephen a medical detox, instead Beth Israel Methadone Clinic dismissed him knowing that he had been treated by their facility for many years and what the consequences would be by doing so.
