She didn't really explain the side effects of the medication she prescribed me, even though I asked her. The medication she prescribed me states you must "limit or avoid alcohol" when taking because the combination can cause fatal seizures (even if infrequent, it is good to know). I didn't find this out until after I already purchased it... Also, in my appointment, I told her I usually drink a couple beers on the weekends, so she knew I drank alcohol & prescribed that medication to me anyways. I wanted to switch meds to be safe so I called her, twice, to switch my meds. She ignored my request both times and told me both times that "virtually all medications" say you can't drink alcohol. Which, isn't true. For example, the medication I was on before this, a year ago with a different psychiatrist, you could drink on. I feel frustrated, and invalidated, and unheard. I'll be going somewhere else to someone who actually listens & knows what they're talking about.
