This doctor pencil-whipped my C&P exam twice. The first time, he barely asked me anything about my military service and couldn't remember my name, even though the paperwork was right in front of him. He didn't recognize me at all when I went in for a second exam. He asked me a few questions about my military experience, asked about military sexual trauma and then essentially said that I had no case and I was wasting my time because I never filed a formal complaint in boot camp. He was extremely unprofessional and incompetent as a psychiatrist. He never served in the military and certainly doesn't understand the people he's talking to.

I was seen by this Doctor for a Veteran Evaluation for Military Sexual Trauma. He couldn't hear when I spoke and dismissed my whole point of being there in the first place. I felt very uncomfortable talking with him as he constantly downplayed my trauma. He wrote in his assessment of my 1 hour with him that he could not verify if I was being honest with him and he could not get any MST cues from me. Hence I was found NOT SERVICE CONNECTED to any trauma or PTSD.

My experience with Dr. Rath was so poor that I would not recommend him to anyone. He was rude, dismissive, aloof, and despite his qualifications seemed to have very little understanding of the mental health conditions of which he was supposed to evaluate.
