She was more concerned with taking me off of a medication (prescribed by another doctor) than she was with properly weaning me. I thought I had the flu I felt so awful! I expressed how bad I was struggling mentally, and at one point she had me taking 7 different medications a day, none of which helped. She very often was not responsive to my medication refills. Many times I went without my meds for several days. I ended up going to a partial inpatient program, which I communicated directly with Ashton. A couple weeks later I received a letter that I was no longer a patient due to not adhering to their attendance policy. Overall I feel that honestly she is inexperienced in psychiatric nursing. I have since found a new provider who can’t seem to understand the choices she made in my medication decisions. I am also mentally better than I have ever been. I look back and feel the time spent with her was a complete waste of time.

She was more focused on taking me off a particular medicine prescribed by a previous provider than she was with weaning me the correct way. I suffered from awful withdrawals from a medication that should have taken much more than a few weeks to properly wean off from. She kept me on low doses of several different meds for a very long time, and often wasn’t responsive to refill requests. At one point she had me on about 6 different medications and I was still in a terrible place. I ultimately ended up in an inpatient mental health center and while I was there (mind you I communicated with their office) I received a letter than I was no longer a patient due to not adhering to their cancellation policy. The type of treatment provided was disappointed compared to the mental clarity I have now from actually receiving proper help with a new NP. I was begging for help for a long time and I truly feel like she allowed me to get worse and did not listen to my concerns. I would completely stay clear of her. She seems to be very inexperienced in psychiatric nursing.

Ashton Houde is not a professional provider. She is careless and rude. I have never been treated worse in my life my any doctor, never-mind someone who claims to be compassionate and above all works with this type of patient care. Shameful really. I am frightened for anyone under her care. I have also notice others complaints to be very similar on her reviews for DHL Consulting(which I also left a review on)! Definitely someone who should at no point be working with mentally ill patients.
