Ariel Kipnis, LCSW

I had been thinking about restarting therapy for quite some time, but was feeling quite nervous about it. From the first session I had with Ariel, I couldn't believe how comfortable I felt. He didn't just look at me with a blank stare. Therapy sessions felt warm, useful, and I would leave each meeting feeling like I had a different understanding of myself, and actual strategies to make some of the changes in my life that I had struggled with for a long time. Some things I had never really spoken about to another person. It wasn't always easy because I realize I had a lot of shame around some things, but I never felt judged or criticized. Ariel showed me a lot of patience and gave me some feedback that helped me feel more in control of myself and more confident about some of the things in my life, including in my relationship.

I worked with Ariel for 11 months, and he completely shifted my perspective on the value of good therapy. I shared and worked through many challenging aspects in my life that I had never felt comfortable talking about with another person before.
