April Dodder, NP

I have been seeing April for years and cannot give enough praise. Before going to her for my wellness checks, I had a doctor (well known in the area) tell me that there's no way my mother had ovarian cancer (because of her age) and demanded that I provide him with her medical records before he would send a letter to my insurance ensuring I could do paps every year versus every other year. April trusted me as a patient and took my concerns seriously. She never demanded my mother's medical records. She has always treated me with respect as a patient. I will continue seeing her for all my future visits.

I left my appointment immediately knowing I could not have trust in April as my OB provider any further due to a lack of due diligence and competence. I was at my 12 week appointment with April Dodder and getting ready to have to wean off progesterone supplementation. I am known to have low progesterone so naturally I was concerned and I asked that we please order some progesterone checks to ensure my placenta was doing its job and taking over. This literally was the prudent thing to do considering my history. I had MMC previously and my progesterone was a 9 at that time. Her exact words were "we don't check for progesterone and if we check for it and it comes back low I'm not treating you with progesterone"
