Annette is just wonderful! My biggest worry as an atheist was possible awkwardness working with a counselor that's part of a group that seemed to put a fairly big emphasis on their Christianity. It has been no issue whatsoever. I told her up front, and it has never been a problem. She is so easy to talk to and have conversations with. Her demeanor is truly caring. And she is a pro at EMDR, which actually works fantastically for trauma! I've worked with many counselors, she is the best by FAR.

I was nervous about starting with a new counselor, but those fears quickly disappeared within the first few minutes. Talking with her is like having coffee with a good friend. She took the time to listen and gave me the tools I needed to heal. I never felt judged and love that she told me what I needed to hear, not what was necessarily easy. She wants her clients to be well and you must do your part. However, you won't be in it alone. Highly recommended.
