Dr. Ann Fontenot, OD

I have seen DR. FONTENOT for over a year to control symptoms of Lichen Plannus which cause any part of my body that has mucosa to become infected. My eyes have been infected for almost two years. She has basically used the same medication which has not done very much for me.

Been seeing her for 9 years and never paid for an eyeglass prescription until our present visit. Both my husband and I paid for our exam and then an additional charge of $40 each for the prescription!! Contacted the FTC and they said “NO EYE DOCTOR SHOULD CHARGE FOR AN EYEGLASS PRESCRIPTION!” Checked with my daughter and our adult granddaughter who both recently went to their own eye doctors and they have NEVER paid for a prescription!! We have all worn glasses for years and years and NEVER paid any eye doctor for an EYEGLASS prescription. Now my husband and I are looking for another eye doctor! Needless to say we are both upset, retired, in our 80s and on a fixed income. If I could have put zero stars or a minus star I would have!

Dr Fontenot is Amazing. I have been to see her many times and I have taken my elderly mother in law. She was always kind and patient with our questions and was willing to take plenty of time to deal with our issues.
