Family Doctor
Dr. Amy Ziegler cut off medications from a special needs female patient due to paperwork technicalities and procedures and never notified the patients family of the decision. The special needs person (who was living independently) went for 6 months without the proper medications and suffered serious complications including kidney damage. In my opinion, Dr. Ziegler seems to be by the book, and is more of a machine than a caring compassionate health care provider. The patient has had to start seeing 3 times the specialists to help contain the physical health damage that was a result of no communication or personal follow ups or referral options given by Dr. Ziegler for the patient to seamlessly continue her medications with another health provider.
