Dr. Amy Buesing, PSY.D

I had her for an MEB C&P exam and opened up to her as much as I could. Explained my symptoms to a stranger, which can be rough being vulnerable like that. Only 2 of the 8 symptoms discussed made it on the report and she left out one important detail with overwhelming evidence of.

Not such a good experience. She basically discounted my military service and trauma because I didn't serve 30 years in the military. She seemed like a good person except she didn't seem to have compassion and realize that everyone is different and everyone copes differently. I have seen her twice and wasn't impressed either time. She seemed to have been looking at someone else's chart or something. She kept comparing me to other people and their situations and VA ratings. She was biased.

Dr.Buesing has such a pleasant demeanor; very easy to open up to. I didn't feel like I was being interviewed or analyzed. It was as if I was were meeting someone with whom I felt comfortable, and who was genuinely interested in what I had to say. My subject of conversation was very minor compared with the work she does with veterans. I would imagine her to be very impactful in that area, and I have a lot of respect for the valuable work she does.

Dr. Buesing is awesome! I saw her for approx. 2-3 years. She was very helpful, very nice, and always very understanding! She's very good at her job and I would recommend her, hands down!
