I came in with an upper guy abscess with sinus drainage the dentist prescribed Amoxicillin 1000 mg TID. The infection had gotten worse in36 hrs that I started the antibiotic. I came in wanting a culture taken to find out if it is MRSA which is antibiotic resistant. Meaning amoxicillin won't touch it. She refused to do a culture stating that it wouldn't show up due to the antibiotic I'm on..so if MESA IS ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANT IT WOULD SHOW UP! Hope it doesn't travel to my brain
