I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Alves. I thought only glasses needed but her through exam indicated the beginning of macular degeneration, which can lead to total blindness. Dr. Alves put me on an over the counter medication that will likely prevent me from going blind. I can't attach enough importance to her finding. Dr. Alves is excellent explaining eye issues to the patient and how to take care of your eyes. She recognized I have "dry eyes" and prescribed daily eye drops. She's the best!!!!
