Alyssa, her student and her Doula were the best. After having 14 prenatal visits, our beautiful water birth and 5 visits after my son was born, she really feels like family. Each visit was at least 1 hour long and I didn’t have to leave my house for anything but the anatomy ultrasound and my bloodwork. This was such a blessing with a toddler at home! Her team even made and delivered a healthy and delicious meal for my family in the first week after my birth. After having a prior disappointing homebirth with another local midwife, I can see why Alyssa is always full and only takes very select clients. The level of care, 100% availability no matter the day or time, jaw dropping knowledge and pure love and kindness was nothing like I have ever experienced. I am forever grateful to her and her team. If you have the chance to work with her, you won’t regret it!

I love Alyssa. It’s incredible to have 8 of your children with the same Midwife. Through normal pregnancies , miscarriages and more complicated pregnancies, she has always been there and goes the extra mile every time. I am so happy to have had her over the last 14 years especially during covid when she, her students and two other Midwives delivered my twins right on their due date in my home. My babies were 8lbs each and the birth was amazing. We are praying for one last baby and can’t wait to have her again. I refer her to all of my friends.

Alyssa, her senior student, new student and doula, attended my birth last month. We were planning a hospital birth, but due to COVID changed our minds at 36 weeks pregnant. Alyssa was flexible and supportive of our last minute change in plans and allowed her senior student ( who is our primary Midwife) attend our delivery at home. We had an amazing waterbirth in our sunroom, it’s all I ever could have dreamed of for my final birth. I had a small complication right after the birth and Alyssa calmly guided her student, my Midwife, through the complication and she was quickly able to resolve it. I never felt worried and my entire family watched in amazement of the entire process. We have 1 more postpartum visit left and I’m going to be sad to end our visits with Alyssa and her students. All of the students we have met in the postpartum visits, have been amazing and I’m so happy to see them learn under her. Alyssa’s knowledge amazes me and She Rescued my birth plans during COVID!

I just had my 3rd baby with Alyssa and her intern. We had another beautiful waterbirth. I was so thankful for at home care during this pandemic. I know she only Currently takes repeat patients now because she is working as college faculty, but I would recommend her to anyone looking to have a natural birth.

Alyssa came to me through a referral. She is an amazing real down to earth person. She has extensive knowledge and has always answered all my questions and if she doesn't know she finds the answers through her resources. She took me on half way through my pregnancy and was there for my amazing home birth. She followed up for me and my baby and I didn't have to take my baby out to see a dr. Alyssa was professional and responsive to all in my process with her. Highly recommend alyssa

Had a traumatic first birth with a Midwife at Summa. I switched to Alyssa with the second pregnancy and had a low stress pregnancy with in home prenatal visits and a fast and easy waterbirth. We had breastfeeding issues after and Alyssa spent months helping until all of our breastfeeding problems were fixed. She is very knowledgeable and kind. If we have more children I will absolutely use her practice.

Alyssa was highly recommended to me because of her knowledge, experience (with other clients who had similar hospital birth traumas as mine), gentle approach and a heart filled with compassion. After three traumatic hospital births, she was the key to the home water birth I wanted. We were thrilled with our home birth in 2014 and the extra time and patience she devoted to us to be sure we had a successful birth. We are preparing for another baby to arrive soon with Alyssa's help!

Alyssa took me on as a midwifery patient when I was 17 & pregnant, was broke and lost. I knew I wanted a natural birth for my baby but I also knew that I would need to give my baby up for adoption. I did not have insurance and she provided me with full care during my pregnancy, birth and after at no charge. She came to my home for everything because I don't drive. She even helped me review couple's for adoption and my baby had a peacefull birth with the adoptive parents there. She's the best!

I just google searched for Alyssa's practice website to share with my pediatrician. I was saddened to see a bad review! I just had my 4th waterbirth with her. My sister is expecting her 3rd in May and has used Alyssa for each baby. We absolutely love her! At least 15 mothers from my church have used her as well and she is priceless to our congregation. I know her incredible intern can carry on her practice when she retires this year. I recommend them to anyone wanting a safe peaceful birth.
