Alta Skelton, NP

The front office staff girls are the rudest I’ve ever encountered. She was talking about us from the window and I could hear it at the previous appt. I had a very sick child and she told me the next available appointment for her was 3 months out. When I questioned kindly if there were other sick appointments she hung up on me and then sent a letter. They claim to be a faith based office but until they start listening to how their own staff treats patients I feel it’s a false claim. I beg her to listen in on phone calls as we have had multiple people leave this practice due to the staff. The worst I’ve ever encountered. It was aggressive, egregious and birders on harassment. I felt targets by her two staff up front and HEARD their conversation about getting us “gone”. I have a high level education and my husband is a Dr. This office treated us terribly and had zero compassion for a sick child with a chronic condition. Saddened by our experience. We have found a wonderful new provider

Alta is the best provider I have ever been to. She takes her time and listens to my problems and tries to come up with a plan to solve them. She is very empathetic and tells me she is sorry when I don't feel well and has cheered me on when I am doing well. She has always listened to all my concerns. I highly recommend her to anyone that wants to figure out the why behind their medical conditions.

Overall, Alta is a 3 on a scale of 1-10. 10 being the highest. It takes up to 6 months on her waiting list to be seen. She is overwhelmed with many patients and will not speak to you on the phone if needed. There is poor communication among the staff to the NP. Also, if you are not insured you can not get a flu shot in her office. This is unfair to patients who would prefer to get the injection from their GP or NP. The nurse gave me an appointment time to come in, initially for the flu injection and when I arrived I was told by the receptionist that I couldn't have this injection in office because I don't have health insurance. The staff expressed to me that they are only setup for patients who have insurance. Several health issues that I have were ignored or not addressed and didn't want to recommend a specialist for further inquiry. I need better care than was received to prevent acute illnesses from happening. I am very disappointed in Alta and her staff.

I have been thoroughly impressed with Alt of Fully Armored Family Health and Fitness. Her ability to make one feel welcome can not compared to others. I think friendliness is a character trait that is shared by all working in the FAFHF facility. I look forward to referring my peers to their capable hands!

I LOVE her so much. I study natural medicine and she is knowledgeable in this as well as standard care. If I would like a test done that isn't normally done she will order it for me. She and I are a team in my health. I can't say enough good things about her. She gives me a big hug every time I see her....if I'm not sick :). She truly listens and will help you come up with a plan for your health.

Alta cares about the people God places in her life. She will not give up until she finds out what is coming against the person’s quality of life. Thankful

Dr Skelton was recommended to me by my son. I was looking for a doctor who spends more than 10 minutes with me and doesn't always prescribe medications as cure all of everything. Dr Skelton greets you with a hug and a great big smile on her face. Within first 5 mins you feel very relaxed and eager to hear what she has to say. She listens very intensively to what you have to say. She is extremely knowledgeable regarding the human body. She really wants to make you healthy with natural remedies.

Alta cares deeply about people and it shows. She knows her stuff. She recites facts about the human body as if she is reading a book. Highly recommend her to anyone wanting to get to the root cause of health issues facing us today.

I have recommended this practice to multiple people and everyone has loved their experience. Alta stays up to date with current medical trends and treatments through attending conferences and trainings. She looks at the whole picture and explores how the body is functioning. My son went to specialists for five years and she was able to diagnose the problem they missed on the first visit! She listens to her patients and has a loving concern for every single patient who walks in the door.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the office, the staff, and the provider. Alta is definitely heaven sent. She makes you feel as if you are her only patient for the entire day. She greets you with a hug and a smile. She listens very attentively and she explains every diagnosis, and the treatment plan thoroughly. She is very encouraging when you are at the point of just giving up, she we say, "no no you can do this and I am here to help you." I have NEVER been happier with any health care provider.

I was extremely pleased with my visit with Alta. I felt like she got more into my health history and the root of issues in 20 minutes rather than 20 years at other doctors. She informed me of changes I can make in my nutrition and was very helpful. We actually ended up taking our three young boys to her as well!

I have never had a doctor talk to me about my concerns for as long as she did. I felt listened to, cared for, and respected.

I think that many doctors will make you believe that they have all the answers, or they will use methods and practices that aren't actually in your best interest, but in theirs, and that are used to make them money. I truly believe that Alta and her staff have my best interest at heart. The body and ones' health is a very elusive thing, and I don't think that Alta has all the answers. Nonetheless, I truly believe that Alta will ultimately suggest what she believes is right for each individual.
