I love seeing Allison! She lets me talk and talk. I never feel rushed or unheard. She’s understanding and non judgmental.

Been seeing Allison ford ever since she started at south side. My husband and I both see her and most of the time we have apts together. She truly cares about our health and is down to earth. We never have issues with our visits and she listens to us and makes us feel we matter. I’ve been a patient at south side for 26 years before Allison I saw horn who is Also amazing. We drive an hour to this office because it’s worth it!

I was very well listened to and not rushed Allison does not rush the visit and I feel very confident in her advice

I have been a patient of Allison Ford for many years, at least 10. She has seen me through my highs and my lows in that time and has always done what was best for me. I see lots of complaints about the practice, but that shouldn't go against Dr.Ford. When I have been sick, they have always been quick to fit me in. If I've needed tests or referrals they are always ordered and reviewed efficiently. I've never had a bad experience with Dr.Ford. Most people don't like going to the doctor but I actually enjoy my appointments with my PCP. I can't recommend Allison enough! I hope she stays with Southside because I don't look forward to the day I have to find a new doc.

Originally I thought Dr Ford was good and cared about her patients; my opinion has definitely changed. Trying to get something done is like pulling teeth. Whoever answers the phone or is her 'go between' apparently does not like being made aware of what your expectations are as a patient. When the 'go between' fails to communicate properly, there is a BIG problem. Instead of the Dr calling to figure out where the problem was (with her own employee) you're just left hanging in limbo. Lab work, prescriptions and even call backs in a timely fashion, is not too much to ask for. Telehealth is apparently out of the question as the only provider that offered it is no longer at the practice. I will not go into detail so as not to divulge personal info but Dr. Ford is responsible for her employee's actions, lack thereof and the inaccurate information provided by her employee. If Dr. Ford can't take the time to follow up with her patient when there is a problem, that IS a problem, she's FIRED.

Allison is just okay...the first visit I had with her, I really liked her. Subsequent visits however, left me wondering if she cared about my health whatsoever. She diagnosed me with a mental issue and prescribed me medicine that I'm fairly sure caused heart problems, but these complaints weren't taken seriously and I was just told it was likely a gallbladder issue (it wasn't). The front office staff is absolutely horrible, extremely rude and condescending. Wait times in the office are long- expect to see your provider 30+ minutes after your appointment time, but get rushed out the door before you even get a chance to fully explain why you're there.

So I am the writer of the previous 5 star review and am here to update my review to 1 star. Not only would I stay away from Allison Ford but I would steer clear of the entire practice. In the middle of my health crisis Allison sent a letter to my residence stating she would no longer be my primary care. No call, no referral just a mailed letter abandoning me leaving me with no primary care and no answers and a 2 month wait until I could get in with a new doctor at a new practice on my own only to start the process all over and letting my disease progress without treatment. This was THE SECOND TIME Southside Family Practice allowed a primary care to just dump me with no means for care. If you need anything more than your weight and blood pressure taken steer clear of this practice. Does much more harm than good for those in need of actual health care.

I really appreciate Allison Ford . She is very patient ,kind ,understanding.Takes her time with you.

If I could give less than one star, I would. Don't waste your time even dialing this office.
