Dr. Alexis Totten, DNP

She is a concerned, listening and thoughtful caregiver. She has taken good care of me for about 3 years now.

I had an annual physical on Feb 5, 2024 at Integrated Medicine Alliance. At the time I was 6 years removed from a prostatectomy. My prior physical was April 3rd, 2023 also by IMA. My medical history was shared with Dr Totten including the removal of my prostrate. With a prostatectomy I should have a near undetectable PSA number. Upon receiving my lab results from Quest diagnostics, I saw that my PSA was at a .94, I called the physician's office only to be told it was normal. The next day I tried reaching out again and was told from the same receptionist they didn't have a long enough track history to say if .94 was high. I come to find out my prior year PSA from April 2023 was a .60, yet that was never disclosed to me either. A level .2 PSA with an individual that had a radical prostatectomy is a biochemical indication of recurrence of cancer. No call back to discuss even though I even requested the office manager call me. Presently undergoing radiation.

Alexis Totten has provided me with thorough medical care, in a relaxed and complete fashion. I have been a patient of this wonderful practice for years and the past few years I have seen Alexis Totten as my doc. I wholeheartedly recommend Alexis Totten.

I’d visited the office for a medication adjustment, as I’d been acutely depressed at the time. During my visit I cried to Alexis, and opened up about having suicidal thoughts at times. I was later disgusted when accessing my medical record for that visit date. She had opted to fill out a depression screening questionnaire on which she indicated “patient seems happy, no indication of depressive symptoms”. Wow. Cover your tush. Incidentally, I stopped going to that office, after many years as a client.

I could tell she was knowledgeable and she made me feel at ease. Answered all my questions.

Alexis Totten is a very compassionate and experienced nurse practitioner and I feel very comfortable whenever I see her for any medical issues. She is easy to talk to and always listens to you and addresses your concerns.
