Above and Beyond
I had made an appointment with Dr. Gardner for a procedure he was unable to do. Though no fault of his own, the procedure was best preformed by the organization that gave the referral. However, Dr. Gardner went above and beyond the call of duty to seek out the best guidance I needed for this procedure. Even going the lengths of calling around on my behalf to try and rectify the confusion this other organization created. If only doctors could do their due diligence as Dr. Gardner had done for me. Thank you so much.

I have been consulting Dr. Gardner for decades. My late father had eye problems and, eventually, lost his sight. Now in my early sixties, I am concerned that some condition of his might have been hereditary. I utterly rely on, and confide in, Dr. Gardner, to care for my eyes. My children also are patients of his.

I have seen Dr. Gardner since his office was in the Coronado building (about 20 years ago) and have always been very satisfied with his level of care. He is excellent at fitting contact lenses and gave me a far more practical prescription than my opthalmologist. He also has fitted my two kids that are now in the 20's.

Dr Gardener was impatient, irritable and bordering on hostile. I wasn't able to properly read the letters during my eye exam, and instead of listening to my experience in order to diagnose me properly, he rushed me out of the office. I went to see another doctor who quickly diagnosed that I had a lazy eye, which is a pretty common condition that I'd expect an eye doctor to be able to recognize. Very disappointed in the care provided.
