Very disappointed - he was late 6 minutes our first session and 18 minutes late my second. He said he had an administrative meeting that ran over. Really I am sure your admin would let you out for patient care! Why even show up for a 30 minute session over 55 percent the way into it... Funny Emory texts me 2x as a reminder emails me 3x and has us all log in 15 minutes before the call yet it's ok for him to be late each visit. I let him go on the spot. Yes as the first 1 star review shows he asks a million questions so your first session is more about him he spent 15 minutes telling me his resume then the remainder of the time asking questions. So how was he even prepared of our second session that he was late to...

Referred by my primary. Our first appointment was 45 minutes of answering a questionnaire, like 100 questions. Literally that was all. Why couldn’t that have been sent ahead of time to make better use of our shared time? Our second appointment was scheduled to be a 30 minute Zoom call. I waited for 12 minutes and finally gave up and disconnected as I had another call coming up. Massively inconsiderate. He contacted me and asked me what happened and I told him him - if we only have 30 minutes together and your tardiness shortens that to 18 minutes what is the point? Icing on the cake was that he had the gall to mail me a “no show” warning for a missed appointment. I’ve seen various therapists at different times in my life but good grief he needs a class in basic practice management and patient interaction.

I was supposed to have 6 sessions covered through EAP for this provider but unbeknownst to me he has two practices and only one is covered through EAP. The authorization code was sent to his private practice email but I was referred through his group practice apparently so he didn't inform me that the visits would only be covered if I went through private practice. I received a bill for $421 for one intro evaluation and one 30 minute virtual session! I could have chosen any provider for free in covered network but since his name was referred by my family practice doc I chose him. Now I'm more depressed than before owing this huge bill. Very frustrating when I could have owed less being self pay or nothing if he had let me know the authorization code was sent to his other practice. Lack of compassion for the consequences this has caused me when I was supposed to owe nothing out of pocket.
