Dr. Zuleyma Toledo-Nieves, MD

I've seen Dr. Toledo twice so far for MS. She has always been very patient and thorough when addressing my large volume of questions. She was sensitive to all of the feelings that come with being evaluated for and eventually diagnosed with a disease like multiple sclerosis. I'm used to waiting a long time at doctor's offices. In my last visit, I brought a book to pass the time, but was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't waiting more than a few minutes (I don't remember what my wait time was in my first visit). The rest of the staff in the office has also been very friendly and easy to work with. I will continue to see her to manage my MS.

Staff was very condescending. Was going to be late for a 10:00 appointment due to traffic. Called office to advise. Informed that if later than 15 mins would need to reschedule. Arrived 10:15. She had changed locations. Drove to new location arrived 10:40. Told would have to reschedule. Asked them about new location? Told too bad. Come again tomorrow or February. They made one attempt the night before to call my 93yo mom who probably has dementia and would have forgotten the conversation to advise of address change. They got no answer and left it at that. Could have called me the emergency contact. Could have advised me when I called to advise we would be late. Did bare minimum and when it didn’t work it was my fault. Staff person advised they lived in Polk Ciry and my Mom lived in Lake Wales so traffic should not have been problem. I came from Sebring. I guess their time is more important than my Mom and I not to mention cost of gas. Staff person almost seemed to enjoy denying us.

She put us at ease and was very interested in resolving our concern. Would recommend Dr Toledo without any reservations.
