Dr. Zuhair Hussaini, MD

If you get kidney stones, Dr Hussaini is the doctor you want to see! He is so knowledgeable and gives great advice for ways to treat & prevent kidney stones. Very respectful of patient concerns and those of their family members. We feel so lucky to have found him. He went above and beyond before, during & after the procedure to minimize discomfort and prevent future issues.

My experience with Dr. Zuhair Hussaini, urologist at Elmhurst Hospital-Main Campus was terrible: I was traumatized by his uncaring and arrogant behavior during my office visit. Throughout our meeting, he did not listen to my concerns and issues, interrupting me constantly, criticizing and dismissing my symptoms as inaccurate, incorrect, and invalid. He lacked empathy and did not show any interest in my well-being: he did not ask me any questions at all to find out about the cause for my aches and pains. He continued to lecture me, showing no interest in pursuing a possible diagnosis or a plan of action. For some reason, he was annoyed that I came to see him. I felt judged and humiliated because he was rude, disrespectful, condescending, and accusatory. He rushed through the appointment leaving me feeling unheard, anxious, confused, and guilty for coming to see him. He should be ashamed of such unprofessional, insulting attitude. He needs to apologize. I will not see him ever again!

He listened to my problems and concerns and responded with answers and solutions.

A follow up visit and everything is working as good as it can be.

I have had prostate issues for several years, and this was my first visit to see Dr. Hussaini since my prior urologist retired last year. I found him to be very polite, knowledgeable, thorough, and informative. He took his time and answered all of my questions completely. His staff was very helpful and very mindful of privacy concerns. I would definitely refer him to others.

The intake nurses in Dr. Hussaini's practice are always first rate. I am hearing impaired and they make an effort to be sure I can always understand what information they require. They are all very professional. Dr. Hussaini always explains things in easy to understand language. He takes the time to make sure I am feeling well. He performs a thorough exam even for a regularly scheduled follow-up visit. And, finally, he lets me know what tests I need to schedule before I see him the next time.

Dr Hussaini has become a friend - he cares about my recovery from prostate cancer and is very through in all aspects of my case.

This was a consult to discuss a future outpatient procedure. Dr Hussaini is the best of the best! Always discusses things with me at my level. I'd refer him to anyone in a heartbeat!
