Dr. Zdenka Segota, MD

From my very first visit with Dr. Segota (she came in at 7:30 am to talk to me about my cancer) she has been an excellent and caring doctor. She saved my life. When the chemo treatments were too much for me she adjusted the meds enough to get me through them. She always provided me with blood test results and took the time to answer all of my many questions. She is extremely knowledgable and caring and the best doctor I have ever had. My cancer required lengthy treatment and follow-up. From the outset her positive outlook gave me the courage to go through it.

She saved my life. I trust her. Very compassionate. I just got a call from Holycross informing me that she is no longer there. Where is Dr Segota?

I just found out Dr Segota is not going to be at Holy Cross any longer! I’m Devasted! She is an amazing oncologist. Does anyone know where she went??

After seeing false and over dramatized reviews, I was compelled to share my own experience. My relative Fred Welker has been looking for a reliable and effective cancer doctor for many years, has gone out of state, ect. His search ended with Dr. Šegota. Other than being effective and efficient with both time and steps toward cancer free goal, she is very clear and straightforward , very important in any industry and found less and less. Rather than leaving you for long stretches in appointments, she uses efficient quality time to speed up lengthy processes. Willing to try multiple different solutions if credible and not close minded, minimal beating around the bush. Staff occasionally not following up their end resulting in blame falling on her. In the end great doctor, need more of her type on medical field!!!

Appointment made, patient showed up with FIL nurse. Waited. Doctor must have had other things to do. I wonder where the secret exit is hidden!

I’m actually shocked to read the previous review about Dr. Segota. I’ve been to more than one oncologist outside of Holy Cross, and I can say that she is, by far, the MOST compassionate. I understand how hard it is to go through cancer treatment and stay positive. Yet, Dr. Segota sees many patients in their most difficult season of life, and she always comes into the exam room with a warm and gentle attitude. She and the entire staff are fantastic!

My sister has seen Dr. Segota on and off for 3 years. 1) Doesn't read reports. 2) No communication skills 3) No compassion 4) Never returns calls to tell you about your results 5) To busy to care. It's a shame that a Dr. can deal with critically ill patients with such a lack of empathy. I would never recommend this Dr. to anyone.

Awful, fake doesn't care about my Dad who at all! No follow up to calls, my mom has been trying to reach her for two weeks no call backs. My dad is falling and delirious and we have no idea what to do..Our family is in crisis and not a phone call nothing from her. She's away on business is all we get from nurses, no compassion for patients can't even find out test results for my father, sent messages through health portal and called, its been 2 weeks nothing! Stay far away from her she is fake and no empathy.

I have been under her care for the past four years. I think she is one of best! Minimum weight times, her office staff are fabulous as is her nurse.

Disorganised, late and not following through. Lovely and compasionate at the begining but all fake since she forgets about what she said last time, doesnt read the notes before the appointment, not consistent in opinion.

Dr. Segota is one of the best physicians I have ever had care for me. She is so knowledgeable and uses that knowledge to plan my care accordingly. In addition she is so kind and truly goes the extra mile for her patients. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Segota to anyone.

Very caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. Very confident in her care. Lovely person.
