Dr. Zareena Shama, MD

Shama is my pcp and turned out to be a very bad experience. After a visit that was supposed to be discussing the results of my lungs ct scan, she said everthing looked fine and to see her back in six months. At checkout, I received no summary report to read over. They never give one anyways. I got home and had my son help me log in to advent health to read the results. To my surprise it said Heart Failure! I have never been told that. I was stressed all night. Next morning I called office to se if someone could explain this to me. Desk said they will have someone call me. No one called. Next day called again. Same thing. No ne called back. I seeked another pcp to get setup with cardiologist. They tested me and they cleared me of any heart failure. What a relief. I was stressed out for over a month wondering if I could have a heart attack at any time. What an ordeal. I would never recommend Shama to any one.

This is the absolute worst doctor I've ever been to in my entire life and having life long issues since I was a child, I've been through several! First visit is good and she acts like she cares but if you need ANYTHING other than your yearly physical and unwanted birth control advise please go elsewhere! She acts like she hates her job and is being forced to be there. No compassion or concern for her own patients! GET FAR AWAY FROM HER!!!!

Dr. Shama and her staff is very sweet and patient friendly. I was able to get my son in on the same day even though he was a new pt. She listened to all of my questions and concerns.

Dr her self seemed to be nice but over all the practice because of or with the help of the staff is very business orientated and money minded. On 3 seperate recorded calls Blue Cross told us they would consider an out of network referral request for "continuity of care" for some on going neurological symptoms but from the get go this office refused the give the referral. one reason was given then when that objection was over come then there was a second and then that was overcome there was a 3rd

It's just an overall good experience with Dr. Shama as my healthcare provider.

Dr. Shama took her time with me and I didn't feel rushed. She listened and answered all of my questions. She genuinely seemed to care about my health.

She made me get a full blood panel to continue adhd medication. I've been on for 12 years. Then she had me do a urine sample. After 3 visits to appease her, she dropped me as a patient and gave me from Dec. 18th to Jan. 2nd to find a new Dr. during the holidays, even though I'll be out of the country for a week. She will treat you like a drug addict, make you cry, order tests you can't afford (every 6 mths), then drop you without fulfilling her 3 mth obligation afterwards. (In front of my kids)
