Brutally painful colonoscopy and endoscopy
Dr. Trnka performed an endoscopy and colonoscopy. It was the most painful colonoscopy I've ever had in my life. And Dr. Trnka couldn't even get the endoscope down my throat, so she WOKE ME UP under heavy sedation yelling at me to swallow, then SHOVED it down my throat. It was a brutal experience.

Horrendous. She was in a hurry to complete my colonoscopy and reprimanded me for screaming in pain I subsequently developed a very bad infection which no one wanted to connect to the colonoscopy. Finally went after 8 mos. and a wonderful nurse pinpointed and treated the condition! This was many yrs. ago and I have not been able to bring myself to have another colonoscopy!

While in the recovery room, after a painful colonoscopy, she said I had HIV colitis and added "I would need to talk to the "AIDS people." as she abruptly walked away from me. I was not HIV positive, I did not have HIV colitis, in fact, I had Crohns disease.

In pain in West Roxbury, MA – Oct 06, 2017
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Trnka?
I was referred to Dr. Trnka for an urgent gallbladder issue while pregnant. She had a great bedside manner, listened to my symptoms and laid out what she believed was the best course of action, starting with an ultrasound. Her team called the afternoon after the ultrasound and explained to me the findings. Dr. Trnka followed up with me on her next day in the office. Her team then followed up with me every other day until the surgical consult she scheduled to see how I was progressing. A+.
