I was visiting in New Jersey when I became sick and had difficulty breathing. I had a history of aortic valve failures. At Hakensack Hospital I was seen by a team of cardiac specialists. The cardiac team was thorough and professional. Initiially I was in shock that my valve had once again failed. Dr. Dudiy thoroughly explained my condition and why I needed a Re-do surgery. Initially I was in disbelief that I needed this difficult surgery. He talked to me several times and he patiently re-explained why I needed a Re-do. I felt comforted by his genuine care. I especially appreciated his team approach with multiple staff! I live in North Carolina but if I have another valve failure I would hope to return to Hackensack, New Jersey for my aortic valve replacements. The entire staff was supurb. Dr. Dudiy is a shining star for the aortic team!
