Very disappointed
Telehealth
I have had Dr. Ko as my doctor for a year now. I never had to go in, but generally messaging her in app was okay. However, once I did a video visit with her she was the worst. Rude, condescending, annoyed, and expecting me to know things about the departments that any regular patient would know, as if I were stupid for not knowing. She also was weirdly against giving me a referral. I switched doctors immediately after this interaction.

Rude and lacks empathy
Telehealth
First time using her for over the phone help due to my PCP not being available. I expressed concerns with my sciatic nerve and told her that my job sent me home due to severe pain. She prescribed pills I already had and offered nothing else. She was short, rushed me off the call. I asked for a few days of excused rest she refused. I’m a supervisor at work na haven’t called off in 2.5 years. I love work, so for me to ask for rest (a few days off) is rare from me. She said I could do light work. My primary job is cargo and lifting. There’s no such thing. Then she lied on my after care summary saying that “I was unhappy I didn’t get days off”. I wasn’t happy, I was hurt I didn’t get any help or advise in mitigating the pain, I was in shock because there was so much coldness and a lack of empathy from her. She should not be practicing medicine.

Uncaring
My very first visit with Dr. Kuo was disheartening. She didn't "hear" me, listen and made me feel that she cared about my issues. I felt disregarded and rushed. We seek out physicians to help us with not only our physical ailments, but also to assist in guiding us towards feeling better. I felt neither of these things were addressed properly. I've never been treated this way, and I hope that things change. I'm seeking a new PCP and hoping to find one that is in it for the right reasons, the patient!

Bad Doctor
She is a doctor who has no suggestions on anything. Do try to ask her any questions. She will make you feel your questions are stupid!
