Dr. Shin listens to you and understands what you need. I have been a patient for over 10 years and I credit her for saving my life. I am well because of her and her staff is great too.

Positive Experience
Telehealth
I have had a very positive experience with Dr. Shin and would never consider going elsewhere. She has been my Psychiatrist for about 20 years and I have always felt valued, respected, and felt I had her full attention.

Find somewhere else. This office is horrible!
I've been with this practice for over TEN YEARS, and it gets a little better, then gets worse again. For some reason they cannot keep the office staff and when you need your prescriptions, it takes forever. They do not confirm appointments, and I have waited three days for a return call, which has still not been returned. They do not answer the phone, and, they seem to forget to put their answering machine or service on. If you do choose to go here, make sure to check your bills, as that is often incorrect. I like Dr. Shin a lot personally, but the practice stinks. I would have left a while ago if there was someone else nearby, but there isn't, so I am stuck!

I’m sick of reading all these negative reviews. I have been seeing Dr shin for over 15 years. Would not even consider going anywhere else. If you can’t understand or have patience when she falls behind you aren’t very knowledgeable about her position. She deals with many people with many levels of mental issues. The most severe patients take priority. Period. That’s what is wrong with people today. They always think they take priority. No patience. Think about it the next time,God forbid, you have to wait!! She could be saving someone’s life!!

Kind Hearted and Thorough
She listens to what I'm going through and then recommends a few things that can be done. She bases her interventions on what we both wish to accomplish. Office staff are friendly and kind.

Seeing Dr Shin does nothing beneficial for me. She never remembers me- the staff either disconnects calls..or call never gets returned. Foot surgery and I had to reschedule- $40 charge to call my meds in ?? many times meds weren’t called in where I went days without ?? Dr Shin. It shouldn’t be so difficult looking for a better fit.

Horrible from day one. First expect a $300 evaluation and that is not paid by any insurance. I waited up till an hour for appointments. I did get an anti-depressant and when I called Dr. shin for a refill, she never called me back. I called six times I went to the office four times. That is bad customer service. I decided see one of her psychologists but he canceled more than saw me. When I called back to arrange an appointment, no one called me back. I actually went to the office to talk about making an appointment and getting a refill from Dr. shin The front desk was horribly nasty. Very defensive because I suspect they do pass all messages. But why didn’t they call me back for appointment setting? Bad customer service. Bad bookkeeping make sure you keep every cancel check and every insurance payment record because you’ll need to march in the office and reconcile. Horrible!

If I could give zero stars for everything I honest to god would. It's literally the biggest waste of time seeing Dr. Shin. You will every single time wait over an hour for your appointment. The staff with all but one girl (god bless her) is extremely rude. The lack of communication in this office is absolutely ridiculous. You wonder what these people actually do all day. If you need a medication refill by phone just forget it. You will not get your prescription. I have had to call several times a week for several weeks just to get my pills sent to the correct mail order. I have not one good thing to say about Dr. Shin and her staff. The past few times I have been to Dr. Shin's office there is at least one client flipping out because they have been waiting for over an hour. I'd rather tough out my mental issues alone than deal with going to Dr. Shin's Office anymore.

I was on time for my appointment. I waited 50 minutes and Dr Shin still did not arrive to her office There were two people before me as well. I left as I had to get back to work. I requested a call back from Dr Shin. She called me and wanted to charge me a prescription fee of $25( to call in my prescription) until I could see her next. She was booked out 9 weeks and my medication would have run out I explained to her she was an hour late and she said this is to be expected and would not even waive the prescription fee. She does not care about peoples mental health but just the dollar. This is the second time I have had an issue with her and it was surrounding these extra fee's which she tries to charge. Stay Away

As I read before trying this practice... complete lack of communication skills, terrible time management. She stopped seeing ME because I did not have extra counseling even though I'm meeting with her, the psychiatrist?? Plan on 30 - 90 minute waits no matter when you get there. She filled RX, told me last time unless I have counseling, no schedule to stop med, just bye. Not right one bit. Find a better practice.

Dr. Shin only cares about money, not your health. Over books patients so you will be waiting over 1 hour after your scheduled appointment time. I needed her to fill out 2 papers so I could apply for government assistance, would not let me drop off or fax the papers in. I had to wait over 1 month for an appointment to get her to fill them out, once she had the papers, she made me wait an additional 2 weeks just to get them back. Because of this I lost my benefits. She is money hungry don't go!!!!

All you do is wait and wait. Don't plan anything after this appointment because you'll never make it. If someone shows up late for their appointment, don't worry, you'll be pushed back and wait even longer.

Dr. Shin is great and easy to talk to you, she is very down to business, and clearly knows what she is doing , and what you may need just from a first impression and a small conversation. I absolutely love this doctor, although I canceled my prescription a while ago, so I do not see her anymore, but I am going back this weekend to set up and appointment, as my life is falling apart from terrible anxiety which I had once thought was ADHD but it could be the combination of the two.

Dr Shin makes her patients wait anywhere from a half hour to an hour. She arrives to work past her first appointment. I have time her office visit with my relative and it rarely exceeds 4 minutes. She never knows who her patient is, does not review ant charts. She is a wate of time and money.
