It was a house call at my DC hotel, last October. I am a foreigner living in South America. With a sore throat, I needed medical assistance and upon recommendation of the hotel front desk, NYC Physicians Housecalls, PC, sent me Dr. Yolanda Lewis-Ragland. After a quick examination, she diagnosed a pharyngitis and decided to give me a shot of antibiotics. She put into the syringe two other drugs. After that, she ordered prescription drugs from the nearest pharmacy. At the end, for a less than 40 minutes visit, an IM injection and a $11.99 prescription, she charged me $ 3,450.00 (YES three thousand four hundred and fifty US dollars). I've some travel experience, in more than thirty countries over the last 50 years, and I've never seen something like that. As a sick and exhausted foreign traveler, I was the paefect target for an abuse of my temporary weakness. Not ethical at all. Not recommendable...
