Dr Lin had clearly read the referral from our my family Dr. and was familiar with it. He was patient.. explained and took time with me.. He impressed me and my Mom with his knowledge, caring, interest.. sending me for follow up testing..

Doesn’t listen to questions or symptoms
Appointment was extremely rushed, doesn’t really listen to questions and when I described my symptoms he brushed them off. Prescribed a med that made me anxious and suicidal and during the follow up appointment instead of taking me off it he increased the dose and disregarded everything I felt.

If I could rate him lower I would
We brought my elderly mother to see him for rapid decline in her cognition. He totally blew us off. He told us “ She’s old, don’t let her fall”. Upon follow up we asked about rehab he told us to “take her home and let her fall then take her to the ED”. We never returned to his office. It turns out her ammonia level was almost fatally high and it was causing encephalopathy. He never checked it! This is a baseline lab you obtain on any patient with changes in mentation. A first year medical student would have known this and her symptoms were absolutely textbook. Instead it fell on us to figure out what was going on and get her the help she needs. We will never let him touch her again and encourage others to go to anybody else but him. I am livid!

He is an awesome Dr. Only problems as far as I can see are 2, his employer limits him on meds he can write for regarding pain. and 2 NOT HANDICAPPED accessible. it is very hard to get in his office alone with a walker. otherwise, I would refer him to anyone, listens well, and seems to care. Even tho he could not help me, except he did clear me for surgery.

Dr. Lin has been treating my husband for almost 20 years. He has been very supportive and competent. He is much more available than other doctors. He has always asked about how is doing and really listens to us both. He also adjusts things when needed. I know a lot of doctors that could learn a thing or two from him about dealing w patients.

Not happy whatsoever with Dr Lin. Literally rushed the entire follow-up appointment without even asking any questions about how I was feeling. This appointment could have been done over the phone without the copay and insurance I will have to pay for 2 mins of his time. It was only after I asked him questions that he gave me the basic "follow the finger" test, "let me shine a light in your eyes", followed by "yep, we need more testing."

I would not recommend him . Friendly guy, but I felt like a number when I met with him. Very quick and makes recommendations for further testing without really listening to what you're expressing. You'll want to ask good questions or at least get a second opinion if you meet wit hhim.

NEGLECTED to read original charts/notes for new patient. COMPLACENT with investigating alternative tests for a better diagnosis. Was told, "don't bother getting more tests, it's not worth the time nor money." Went for a second opinion, and find out that epilepsy was not the main diagnosis from the original ER doctor! Spends less than 5 minutes every 6 weeks with patient, and is not concerned with side effects of inferior medication he prescribed.
