Dr Umene was very nice. She listened to my concerns, took her time, searched for info on a concern I had. Would definitely recommend her.

Competent and pleasant
I like Dr. Umene. She listens well, is pleasant, and doesn’t rush you out the door. She has not ordered unnecessary tests, and has ordered tests I was concerned about. She reviews records and test results from my endocrinologist at another practice. She doesn’t hesitate to give a referral to specialists if you ask. I have noticed that since COVID hit, it’s harder to get an appointment. Her medical assistants are also good.

I have seen Dr. Umene at least three times now and each time her mood is a bit different. I have experienced her being friendly, insensitive, organized, confused, and her listening skills are of varying degree based on the day. I have no other provider but will hope to find one that is more stable soon. She appears pretty knowledgeable and she is flexible when it comes to requests I have from my ND (lab work, etc) but her bedside manner could use improvement.

Saw Dr Umene when my own doctor at the clinic was not available. After our visit I read her Notes on my chart. They read like the observations of an obnoxious school girl out to impress her friends just how cleverly mean she could be. She took the symptoms and concerns that I had reported to her and made a joke out of them, and me, knowing full well that I might be reading her notes. Unfortunately for her patients, medicine and their concerns are not a laughing matter. Avoid at all costs!

I scheduled a physical with this Dr because of all the positive reviews...total mistake. Even though she is nice and looks like she cares, she Is negligent. I told her “I have not had a physical in 5 years, I want everything standard checked, and on top of that my Vitamin D and Thyroid hormones checked” I did my blood work and the results only showed Vitamin D, thyroid hormones, and cholesterol..nothing else. No CBC, no liver enzymes, nothing. I called the office and the receptionist said she was shocked that nothing else was ordered. A day later a man from her office called stating “the Dr is very conservative and there was no indication that there was a need to check anything else” I said “the indication was that I did not have a check up in 5 years, and my father had liver issues” the man was very cold and just said I would have to go back for new blood work. Very unprofessional. Never going back. Had I not mentioned vitamin D and thyroid, was she only going to check my cholesterol?

This doctor appears to be pleasant and listening to your concerns but brushes you off and denies further testing or referrals because she has decided it's "all in your head." Why not just admit you don't have the knowledge base or expertise to solve complex cases? She did not accurately chart my symptoms either. I finally saw someone who listened and provided me the referrals you were negligent to provide. Terrible experience. Avoid if you have any complex concerns!

This is the worst doctor I have ever seen. Obnoxious, rude, demeaning, clueless. She walked in that way and left worse.
