Miscast as a doctor.
Dr. Yasmin Ibrahim was a sub-par medical professional at the Advent Hospital Tampa over two months ago. Dr. Ibrahim and her combative, dismissive approach stands out even now, as being shockingly unacceptable. There were others, but she was the worst in a 6 week stay. Yasmin Ibrahim was the assigned Hospitalist that we were unable to fire during my mother's recent prolonged stay. Dr. Ibrahim does not have a personal or professional demeanor that is patient-centered. She did not round in the morning and made exaggerated notes about the time spent with my mother's case. She was unresponsive to nurse communications. The fraught tension she thrives on, seen in her notes, suggests that she does not have the skills to work with sick patients. She may be great with those who are healthy, not the usual suspects in a cardiac ward.Florida Medical has excellent providers, Dr. Yasmin Ibrahim is not one.

Unprofessional behavior
She was very rude to me. I'm a single woman with no family and never gave me any time to explain myself. She's doesn't know alot about medicine. She's very disrespectful to the elderly and doesn't know know how to treat people who are sick and not feeling well. I'm not coming back here ever again, I'm upset and hurt by the treatment I received from her. She's very upsetting to an elderly woman with basic needs.

Beware of this physician!
Beware of this physician! Dr. Ibrahim advised my Mother, a St. Joseph North patient that if she were her patient, she would put her in hospice and opined she only had six months to live. Dr. Ibrahim made this pronouncement without consultation with the patient’s regular physicians and after the patient had been hospitalized for less than 48 hours. Dr. Ibrahim gave her insensitive news when the patient was all alone before visiting hours on a weekend. The patient was understandably shocked and frightened by this news since none of her regular physicians had mentioned, or hinted at such a diagnosis. Dr. Ibrahim exacerbated her rushed conclusion by placing the decision in the hospital notes which subjected the patient to numerous visits by hospital staff to discuss the assignment to hospice. It was not until family members and the patient’s regular medical providers intervened that Dr. Ibrahim’s inappropriate and inaccurate diagnosis was quashed. Dr. Ibrahim has terrible bedside ma

It saddens me that one of the last physicians to care for my Mother, before her death, was Dr. Jasmine Ibrahim. Dr. Ibrahim's total lack of regard for my mother's wishes was wildly apparent from the very beginning of her stay at St. Joe's North. As my Mother's medical liaison, I went so far to request a new hospitalist be assigned to my Mom's care. This occurred after multiple miscommunications with Dr. Ibrahim, along with our family's realization of her complete ineptitude and total lack of bed-side manner. I feel that Dr. Ibrahim was more concerned with her "busy" schedule and making innumerable excuses for her lack of concern & care for my Mom. This physician went so far as to even avoid coming to our Mother's room when she knew our family was visiting. We had many end of life medical concerns and questions. You only get one chance at making a lasting impression, in such a pivotal time in someone's life. Unfortunately, Dr. Ibrahim made a negative lasting impression with my Mom.
