Excellent Gastroenterologist!

Dismissive and invalidating
I am currently being treated for PTSD from my 2-year long experience with Dr. Alastal. After leaving Dr. Alastal, I was immediately given surgery to repair two sections of my intestine that were blocked with scar tissue. For 2 years I was living off a mostly liquid diet. I repeatedly told Dr. Alastal how much discomfort I would have whenever I ate solid food, and he just kept telling to take more laxatives (which only increased the discomfort). He was so dismissive of my symptoms and made me feel like I was crazy. This was such a dark period of my life. Even though my intestines are recovering, my mental health still suffers.

Dr Alastal never returned my calls and message
Spoke to his office several times and messaged the Dr requesting a call back to ask about pain I was having. Did not hear back for 4 weeks. (By that time I went to another practice). Called back again to speak to the Dr but he never called back.
