I had been in pain due to 2 plantar fibromas for a year and a 1/2. My former podiatrist (in Key West) had given me a steroid shot which took care of the problem for 6 months. When the pain returned I made an appointment and asked if we could do something besides another shot. His suggestion was "buy cushy shoes". I did some research online for alternate treatments that my former doctor did not offer me (or wasn't aware of) then made an appointment with Dr. Thetford. He was up to date with the research and offered me 3 alternatives of treatment for the fibromas. I chose topical Verapamil and I'm extremely happy to report that the medication (in a few months) solved my problem. I wish I would have made an appointment with his office first instead of walking around in pain for a year and a half.
