He Saved My Life
I had already been through A LOT. I got covid in Feb '21. I didn't know what to expect, just like everyone else. Covid gave me double pneumonia, I didn't know, so I laid with it. Which gave me a bacterial infection in the base of my lungs, I didn't know it, so I laid with it. That infected my blood and the infected blood running through my heart triggered a valve infection. Barely made it to UT. On life support for 3 1/2 weeks. I should of survived that. But I did. A month later, I had to have open heart surgery to replace the faulty valve. That went perfectly, but my heart wouldn't beat in rhyme... I'm 37. It's hard to keep an upbeat, positive attitude sometimes, THE DOCTORS YOU HAVE MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. Dr Mahlow came into my room with the best energy.. I could tell he was smiling even with a mask on. EXTREMELY kind, light hearted, pun intended, because he was comforting, informative, and had the kind confidence you want your doctor to have. He's been great to me for over a year

Dr Mahlow saved my life
Dr Mahlow and all of the staff at UT heart hospital treated me like I was more then just a patient I was treated like I was family. I owe so much to all the staff and Dr Mahlow for saving my life. My heart was in very bad shape just 3 months ago and not after my pacemaker and countless doctor visits I feel like I did before I got sick. Thank you UT heart hospital. God bless you all

Dr. Mahlow did not take time to explain results and was minimizing of my concerns. After two visits, I asked to transfer to another doctor within the practice and they do not allow you to do that. So, when scheduling your first visit, be sure its with the doctor you hope to see long-term.

He is a great Doctor, he explained everything to me about the condition I was in and showed me what I needed to do to get better. Even though I really did not want an implant - CRT-D in time I realized it was the best course. Now I am doing well and Thank Dr. Mahlow for all of his skill...

I had to go into the hospital at Park West my cardiologist is Dr Brewer dr. Brewer set me home and then I had to go back because my pulse rate was a 180 again he sent me to see dr. Hirsch or doctor Mahlow at UT well I got to see dr. Mahlow they had to do more tests and they figure it out I had to get an ablation and so far so good as my first ablation was done back in California in 2016 it wasn't done right because the cardiologist couldn't solve the problem dr. Marlow explained he had to race my heart a dozen times to get my problem solved I didn't feel a thing unlike the very first time it was a horror show I'm very thankful for him and now I got to go in for ICD and hopefully all goes well he explained everything very well!! I would highly recommend him!!!!!!

He is simply a wonderful doctor! He has helped me get back to good health. He takes time to explain things to me. He is kind and compassionate, personable, very competent and knowledgeable. He really cares about his patients and goes the extra mile for them.

He does a poor job of explaining what is going on with my heart after the tests. On my last visit as I was leaving he said O, by the way your heart has cholesterol in it. I then asked him exactly what is going on and I received a very short reply which really did not explain the seriousness of the problem. I have been taking a statin for over 20 years, watch my diet, am not fat and in much better condition than most my age.

Dr. Mahlow gave a good first impression and did a great job with my pacemaker, but every subsequent visit has been uncomfortable. He often seems irritated and doesn't answer all of my questions.
