FATHER KNOWS BEST
NO! He raised his voice when I dared to question. I'm a doc too. Researched well--he'd not even consider anything, never looked at my research, pushed his outdated treatment agenda and would not allow questions. His patients love him because he has a Father Knows Best bedside manner, but they are not medical and god help them. I walked out after he threatened to throw me back to the referring org. Uh, no thank you.

Terrible bedside manner. Dr Loui was referred by a Mayo clinic out of state as he was a trained Mayo physician. A plan was set forth for treatment. Upon meeting with Dr Loui, the Mayo plans were discarded and he did his own thing. When questioned his reply was "if you don't like it go back to Mayo". On other occasions he stated "you've lived longer than some of my other patients". Find another Dr that cares about you.

Do yourself a favor and if Dr. Loui is your doctor, get a second opinion. He makes mistakes that jeopardize patients' lives. We had to get his staff to help us get approval from a mainland doctor for a bone marrow biopsy because he didn't think my mom was relapsing when she was, she had to prove it herself so she could get treatment. Even his own staff doubt him, that's why they were willing to help us. Thank god for the other dr b/c Dr. Loui wanted to wait until it was too late. Shame.
