One of the Best Nationally!
I have been a long term patient of Dr William Kaye's for type 2 diabetes over the past 15 years. He has provided thoughtful clinical care through periods of additional medical concerns it experienced, and he has always maintained a staff that provides the sensitive communication, support and followup for his recommendations. The ease and response I have received from his medical assistant, Lala, has been so helpful over these recent years when I was concerned about a medication, getting a Rx filled or following up in the explanation of the doctor's recommendations in a timely manner cut through the tension of uncertainty I may has experienced.Additionally, the diversity of coordinated educational services, nutritional counseling in house lab and the Dr.'s awareness of current research & developing trends provide so many reasons for my recommendations at this time, as a happy & healthy patient.

Tale of 2 visits
On my first visit I had amazing treatment from staff & Dr. The second visit was the exact opposite. I got a text that an appointment opened up for the next day and I had 15 minutes to respond if I wanted it. I responded within 5 mins. I didn’t realize that I needed to get a confirmation that it was accepted. I showed up at 11:17 for my 11:15 appointment and was told I was late ( 2 minutes) and the Dr was running late & I didn’t have an appointment! I was told I could come back in the afternoon. I drove 16 miles each way! No way was I going to repeat the trip a few hours later! Looking for another Dr!

Dr. Kaye offers excellent endocrinology care. He is on top of the latest information in his field and encourages his patients to be informed and ask questions. Dr Kaye discusses my condition and care and makes a plan with me. His office also provides education that provides the knowledge and tools to successfully navigate lifestyle changes to handle diabetes. I recommend him to everybody I know who is having difficulty managing their diabetes.

Dr Kaye is a fantastic doctor. His impressive bona fides are hard to match, his approach is patient-centric and his personality is warm, friendly and comforting. A family member, who is also a patient of Dr Kaye’s, insisted that I see him after my previous endocrinologist was unable to adequately treat my condition. It was immediately apparent why they were so insistent. In one visit, Dr Kaye was able to determine exactly what my issue was, prescribe a precise regimen to address it, and within a week, I felt better than I had for 25 years. He’s extremely skilled. I had been seeing endocrinologists affiliated with top NYC-metro hospitals for 10 years and none have hit the treatment as precisely as Dr Kaye has. The entire experience has been very positive. His staff is friendly, responsive and helpful. The office is pleasant and bright, and they offer free valet parking (love that!).

After 2 years, I fired Dr. William Kaye. I went in with autoimmune thyroiditis & connected high blood pressure. After the 1st 6 months, he stopped adjusting my meds despite my ever rising thyroid numbers & my now low blood pressure. 2 years spent not following up with my original issues & would only talk about cholesterol which I did NOT want his help with as I have a GP for that. Fast forward to today: he has ghosted me. No letters, just patient abandonment. I tried to set appts after missing one appt, but no one answers phones or returns calls. I am scared of having a stroke from stopping of my blood pressure meds. I have a new Endocrinologist but due to COVID, I have had to wait 2 months for my new appt. I will be without meds for 2 weeks as no doctor will help until new blood work which is a 1 month wait w/ quest. This office is incompetent, long waits, unprofessional & major communication issues. Other past clients report the same issues to me. Unacceptable.

Dr William Kaye has been my Doctor for several years. Although I live in Ocala, Florida, I drive the four hours for my appointment because of the confidence I have in him. In addition to his treatment, he is an advocate for his patients, me included. I recently joined Medicare, and was having problems with my medication approval. Doctor Kaye provided the requested prior approval, and appealed the denial. He assigned Gina Figueroa to assist me, with the medications, who did an outstanding job. I received my medications. I am very grateful for both.

Dr. Kaye is wonderful, smart and compassionate. His staff, however, need to improve their communication with patients. It is never acceptable to not return phone calls or not completely address patient concerns. He needs to deal with those team members who don't measure up.

Dr Kaye was recommended to us by a friend and we couldn’t be more pleased with the attention and care he and his staff have given to my husband. His diabetes was way out of control, always felt lousy, sugar levels spiking and dropping, just not being managed well. We felt comfort from the first appt that we were in the right place. His A1c dropped from over 13 to 6.5. The staff and educators, esp Monica, were instrumental in educating and explaining the disease, resulting in great improvement, lower A1C, feeling better, dietary improvement and many more. Dr. Kaye has taken such great care of my husband, asking all the right questions, showing the he truly cares about his patients and their well being. We are truly blessed to have found this Practice when all previous ones have failed to help. Can’t say enough good about this group .

I'm so blessed to have Dr. William Kaye as my endocrinologist. He's the best doctor I've ever met. ... I think back to the times when I was distrustful even of Dr. Kaye and how he earned my trust. And he gives me his attention at every appointment: reviewing past information, asking about what has happened since our last appointment, reviewing blood test results with me, and always concluding the appointment by asking if I have any questions. He even tells me of his projected plan of care, to include additional scans and imaging to compare to tests conducted last year. I pay for it all out of my pocket, and I encourage him to do whatever he believes is helpful for me, despite the costs, because I want to be well. ... I always feel good about the care and service he provides. I wish everyone could have that experience with their healthcare providers.

Perhaps the nicest doctor I have ever met. He inspires confidence. When he does not know something (rare) he will tell you "I don't know but I will find out". Check out his background. Trained at the best institutions. I would refer my closest friend to him with confidence.

I visited Dr. Kaye when I moved to Florida for the winter. In November of 2018 my A1C was at 14.5. Dr Kaye reviewed my file and when I came in he had a plan for me. He took me off some outdated pills I was taking and had me on a new regimen. Within a few months I started to shed my weight and with a bit of diet and exercise I went from 240 pounds to 195. Also my A1C came down to 7.0. Before coming to see him, my primary care doctor had asked me to see a specialist about my liver since my AST and ALT were high and had been for 8 years. Today, February 2020, my A1C is 5.7 my AST and ALT are normal range as well as my cholesterol. I can honestly say that following the advice of Dr Kaye has given me a healthy outlook on life and I feel better today than I did in my younger years.
