Wonderful, caring doctor.
I am so happy I found Dr. Gaya. I have seen him several times so far. The office staff are friendly and very helpful. Dr. Gaya listened to me and explained everything thoroughly so I could understand it. I would definitely recommend him.

Didnt want to help at all
Dr. Gaya is friendly enough, did a very quick evaluation, ordered a bunch of tests. put him on meds that didnt help and caused awful side effects, so lhe stopped them. when we went back to the 2nd appointment- he said all tests came back fine- didnt explain anything, then made another appointment on several months! no plan whatsoever!! No other treatments, meds or even a diagnosis!! We did not go back!

If you are a female, do not visit this doctor!
My boyfriend and I both have M.S. When I visited with my boyfriend for his treatment, Dr. Gaya was amazing. Fast forward to he following year when I switched to him because he had been so good with my boyfriend....and the man did not even turn his chair around to look at me in the face when speaking. Needless to say, I went for my first visit and did not return!

Did not even try to help me
I have debilitating nerve and vascular pain in my feet that is so bad I cannot even go food shopping or stand long enough to cook. he ordered lab work which I went and did. so the second appointment, he said my lab work was all fine he did not listen or even try to help me. What he wrote on my patient portal as a summary was all incorrect. He listed diseases and said that I have no family history of these, which is untrue because I do have family history of the diseases he listed, he had not even asked me. So he just dismissed me and did not make another appointment. His summary on my patient portal was close to insulting, as he said I was focused on things I cannot do, when I was only trying to tell him how bad the pain was. He was too busy trying to see as many patients as he could, even though he appeared friendly at first, he did not help me at all or even try.

Not interested in helping me
At appt., Dr. Gaya was running late & I could hear through the really thin walls when he entered another patient's room. He chatted with this man about all kinds of non-medical things like travel, hobbies, the man's wife's medical journey, etc. For over 30 minutes, he had a conversation with this man about everything other than why the man was there. So I thought, 'wow, he's really friendly.' But when he got to my room, he wanted to get in & out as quickly as possible. I could only assume he wanted to make up for the 50+ minutes that he was now behind because of the long chat with the previous patient. He would not actually listen to anything I said - I would describe what was going on and at the end, he would ask a question that showed he wasn't listening at all. And then, he just wanted to write me a prescription for something to 'try' and for me to go away. By the end, I got so incredibly frustrated that I actually cried, but he couldn't have cared less. I don't understand why.

Very impressed
I only had to wait a few minutes to see the doctor. He talked at length with me regarding my issues and explained reason for tests ordered. He took my issues seriously and I never felt like he thought it was all in my head. He gave me a detailed list of his planned treatment. The most outstanding medical appointment I have ever had or ever been a part of with other family members. The office staff are super nice and very proficient and welcoming. I would give them all a 10 out of five!

I was told by his office that I would need a referral to be seen and after specifically asking if the referral could be from my chiropractor as this is who I am seeing for my care until I can find a decent PCP in my area I was told I just needed a referral from any doctor. After spending time and money to get the referral and contacting his office multiple times to make sure I was doing everything correctly now I’m told (2.5 weeks into this process) that he will not take my referral and will not see me because I don’t have a PCP currently and he feels I may not have continuity of care (so refuse to treat people because you think they may not follow up on your recommendation!?). I do have the correct insurance, I do have many medical records that were requested to be sent to him, I do have access to a doctor and alternate care if he thinks I needs treatment that is not neurological. Why did you waste my time and money? Why are you creating barriers to providing medical treatment?

He came in to the office right on time. My mom had been experiencing tremors. He was warm, confident, reassuring. He spend almost an hour with us, assessing her condition. He ordered a couple of new tests and some medications and told us to follow up. He said to call him right away if any new symptoms arose.

Dr Gaya lost his temper at us last time we visited his office without reason. We were only asking what all the 5 tests results were that he had put me through in the last month. Later, we found out at the front desk that he had not read the results and one test had not even been in the file yet. He became angry and stormed out of the room without another word. He came back after about 10 minutes and still was very short with us. We didn't raise our voices ever so we don't know his problem.

I don't think that he paid much attention to me. He was texting to someone wile my appointment. Would not look at the paper work I brought in with me. Sent me out to get more tests before he'd see me again. Looking for a new Dr now. Don't waist your time seeing him Caz he sure won't waist any time on you!
