I've been seeing Dr Burns for about 7 years now and he has completely changed my life. When I started I was using drugs, hadn't finished school, angry, hard to get along with, and no real direction in life. I had seen 2 psychiatrists and 4 therapists before. He was the first one I got along with (he does both therapy and psychiatry). He took all of my quirks in stride and for the first time I felt accepted and hopeful. He never pushed it on me, but through our time together I found sobriety and he helped me with that. He also took me through DBT skills group and that turned my life around. I am able to talk to him about anything, and we can problem solve all sorts of issues. Even though he is out of pocket, the appointments are 100% worth it. I was able to finish school, get into grad school, mend relationships with my family, and now have an actual life worth living. Easy to schedule with, great location, Telehealth available, up to date knowledge.
