dr atkins was interested, asked questions, asked if he could be helpful in a referral situation regarding grant for an expensive medication. he listened carefully to what i had to say and gave me options. he was willing to try to resolve my problems with medication and gave me fax nmbr so i could offer that to the manufacturer of the medication. i will continue to work on this problem and see if his help and information would be enough. i think it will work out o.k. j.cole t or c

Meh. Sleepwalker. This guy seems like he is doing just the bare minimum to get by. Very detached and distant. Maybe this is just how he treats elderly patients; my mother is 92, A when she sees him he seems to just be going through the motions. She got far better and more engaged treatment from a nurse practitioner at the clinic.

Previous review about Dr. Adkins isn't even about Dr. himself. Personally having seen him more than once, I find him to be a welcoming, salt of the earth person, making it very comfortable to share and discuss information and treatment plans. His knowledge of medical information is up to date and impressive for this area. We haven't had a doctor of this caliber in this community, personally, ever. I'd recommend him to anyone. My family and friends all over Sierra County trust in him.

The staff at Dr. Adkins' office was rude and unprofessional. They were very nice and helpful until they saw that we were on the state insurance. It takes MONTHS (5 in my case) to get them to request records from another provider in order to get DME supplies. I have had two different appointments with him and both times they were rescheduled at the last minute due to him being sick. When calling their office, most times you end up with the answering machine and they don't call back.
