He is down to earth and gets right down to their level and listens to them whole heartedly and then explains to them for them to understand what's going on with them and what he thinks/ needs to do in order to help make them feel better about their situation ??

Dr. Blackwood is amazing with children. My daughter was a patient of Dr. Hamm before he retired and was nervous about changing doctors but he made her feel right at home. She left so excited he was her doctor.

Super friendly makes sure everything is taken care of. Him and his staff are great with kids and the parents. There was almost no wait time and they took their time. Highly recommend.

An amazing doctor! Dr. Blackwood is very attentive, knowledgeable and a great pediatric cardiologist. We took my daughter to see him in an emergency situation without an appointment and they fitted us in. He made me feel very at ease about the whole ordeal. He's a patient doctor and very considerate. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has a child with a heart defect.
