I take thyroid medication and moved from another state to Virginia. I had to make an appoint a year out to get in to see Dr. Westfield when I moved to Louisa. Luckily my out-of-state doctor called in a refill for me on my prescription till I could get one from my new doctor. I moved from Louisa to Southwest Virgina and haven't found a doctor yet. It is challenging where I moved. I called Dr. Westfield to get a short refill on my medication till I can get in with another doctor here. Since it is just over a year, they said they wouldn't. I am going to be out in 5 days and I asked them just for enough till I can find another doctor. They said I should have got a doctor and it is my responsibility. Like I didn't know this. So me being completely out of thyroid medication doesn't matter them at all. They said it was their decision that they would give me a short refill. Pretty horrifying. It is not about patient care for them all. The motto 'Do No Harm' doesn't seem to mean much either.

Too many visits with no physical
My husband and I had to get Dr. Westfield after the pandemic because she was the only one close to us. My appointment was 9 months after we signed up. Understandable. Since it had been over 2 years since I had a physical I expected a physical. She barely did an exam and wanted me to make an appointment in 3 months. After several visits with a cursory exam I called and make an appointment for a PHYSICAL. The only thing extra she did was draw blood and refill SOME of my prescriptions. I was told I had to come in again before she would refill my mental health meds. I decided that I would keep that appointment and get the refill and then find another doctor but the appointment kept moving into the future. I got another doctor who immediately refilled my meds.
