Dr. Walter Jackson, DDS

I saw Dr Jackson over a year ago. I had been diagnosed with an Ameloblastoma, an aggressive tumor of my lower jaw. The country was locked down due COVID-19. I felt my initial surgeon because I felt unsafe. Their Covid precautions were too lacked. At Dr Jackson’s office there was social distancing in the waiting room, and seating was sanitized after each client in the waiting room. The staff wore proper personal protective equipment. I felt safe. Dr Walter Jackson was very caring and professional. He didn’t treat my tumor, but wrote a referral, of which he emailed and mailed a copy, to Dr Peter ParkI at LSU. Dr Park is a brilliant surgeon at LSU Dental School. I will always be grateful to Dr Jackson for his care and concern.

I made an appointment weeks in advance, my insurance having been approved, only to be called THE DY OF to let me know I in fact was not covered. I called my insurance company who confirmed I was indeed covered and yet they rudely told me that I was not & refused me service unless I paid total bill of pocket! Very rude/arrogant folks. $$ appears to be all they care about. Beware of these people.

It is obvious that Dr. Jackson picked the profession he was meant to do as he is so exceptionally good at it. I am skeptical by nature by have not had any reason to apply my suspicious nature to anything Dr. Jackson has said or done. He is very patient, takes the time to answer any of your questions, explains exactly what will happen, then does a great job doing the actual procedure. The night after my procedure, Dr. Jackson sent me a text to check to make sure everything was okay, and I was impressed that he took the time out of his personal time to check on me. I have only met a couple of the people on his team but the ones I have meet seem to also be good at what they do. Everyone their made the awful event of having to get a tooth pulled into a pretty pleasant experience, which is not an easy thing to do.

I went to get a tooth extracted. I have been to Dr. Jackson before and so I knew what to expect. The staff is very friendly and they do a very good job of explaining the costs of the procedure. Dr. Jackson has a really good beside manner that puts you at ease. He explains the procedure before hand and then gives you updates as to what he is doing when as he continues the procedure.

Very funny and nice, was a quick procedure and the staff were all friendly as well. Got my wisdom teeth removed and I would do it again as long as they did it.

Dr. Jackson is very professional and kind. I had my wisdom teeth removed with no problems at all. His staff is also professional and polite, Dr. Jackson the best in the business.

Dr. Jackson gave me a smooth and stress-free procedure & everything happened in a timely manner. I recommend.

I needed to have my wisdom teeth removed, and I was extremely nervous about having IV sedation and oral surgery. The staff picked up on my uneasiness and helped calm me down by gently explaining what was going to happen. Furthermore, Dr. Jackson was very accommodating and was very good at distracting me while the IV was placed. Moreover, during my recovery, I experienced very little discomfort. I don’t think any other oral surgeon and staff could have done a better job! I highly recommend Jackson Oral Surgery! If I could, I would give them 10 out of 5 stars!

My dentist recommended Dr. Jackson for wisdom tooth removal. I was able to have it removed the same day as my initial appointment. Dr. Jackson offered options for pain control, which I ended up not needing at all. He did a great job, always made me feel comfortable. Nice bedside manner. I would highly recommend. Normally don’t write reviews but I’ve had family members that had terrible experiences with other providers in the area, but I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience.

I was so scared to get my two bottom wisdom teeth pulled because I heard so many stories about it hurting so much. Dr. Jackson took great care of me the surgery went well with slight swelling and pain after surgery. When I mean slight it was almost no pain at all. Dr. Jackson, even texted me to see how I was doing later that day after my surgery. Dr. Jackson is awsome I told everyone about him. I am happy I went here!

I am 74 years old and have had 3 extractions in my youth. I have always hated the dentist and dreaded the prospect of an extraction. The extraction performed by Dr. Jackson was completely painless and the best one I have ever had. he also inserted an implant post into the extraction site. That latter procedure was also completely painless and went very well. I healed with no infection very fast.

Dr. Jackson is an excellent oral surgeon. I have had extractions, bone grafts and implants placed by Dr. Jackson. I recommend him highly. Wonderful staff as well!

Third visit on installation of tooth implant. All procedures have been done in an efficient, professional manner, with interaction and concern for the patient. Excellent care!

Yesterday I had a tooth extracted, and had a very good experience. All the staff were pleasant and helpful, and Dr. Jackson spent a lot of time with me, explaining the options for treatment. He made sure I had all my questions answered, and did the extraction quickly. I had no pain or anxiety, and felt sure that all would be well. I feel confident that my future treatment with him will be just as good.

Dr. Jackson is a very talented and compassion surgeon who I've seen repeatedly during the past year. Every time, he's done a great job. He takes time to explain everything. His staff is friendly. You won't find a better oral surgeon in the New Orleans area.

I was very impressed with the Dr.'s knowledge of risks associated with Prolia and dental care. He was the first Dr. that I have gone to that seemed to have a good knowledge of this and right away knew the option that normally would be the favorable one would not in my case due to the Prolia. The staff was very friendly. while maintaining their professionalism.
