Dr. Walter Giblin, MD

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Giblin for many years. He is very professional and personable. He's helped us resolve a number of dermatological issues and always with a smile!I have recommended him several times to friends and will continue to do so. I consider him to be an excellent, caring physician.

He is very professional and takes excellent care of me. His staff is always helpful too.

Dr. Giblin always asks me first about my general medical condition. He spends time with me, instead of just freezing off pre-cancerous spots and rushing out. He treated me for one of my three basal-cell carcinomas using a series of shots that healed faster and with less discomfort than my other two that were excised surgically. In addition, he was the ONLY physician who informed me about a potential incisional hernia that might develop as a result of my abdominal surgery 16 months ago. Not only was he right, resulting in my needing a second surgery to repair the hernia, but he told me “Don’t be surprised if you develop a hernia within 3 months”. His prediction was correct within a couple of days.I cannot recommend Dr. Giblin highly enough, and will continue as his grateful patient for as long as he chooses to practice.

Quickly seen, efficient office, courteous staff, but most important, a very caring physician who addressed my skin cancer needs very well. I wouldn't hesitate to send any family member to this office.

I have been going to Dr Giblin for many years - I have dealt with acne, cysts, and I even got shingles once. I have never had any issues or concerns with Dr. Giblin and his assistants. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and understanding. I have brought both my boys to him over the past years for minor things (he was amazing with them!), and just recently started having my pre-teen son start seeing him. Also, to add, he performed a minor surgery on me once(that still took some time), he even asked what music I would like to hear during it. He really is excellent, and I wouldn't choose to go anywhere else.

Dr Giblin is extremely professional and very thorough. I have skin cancer in my family and I believe his care and monitoring have prevented me from more serious incidents on my skin. I have been his patient for many years and I would never go to anyone else. I have recommended him to all my friends and turned them into as loyal patients as I am. I am 76 now and have credited him with me no longer worrying about my ending up with serious skin issues too late as what happened to my mom.

Dr. Giblin has terrible operation skills but likes to do it himself instead of referring to surgeons. He made scar look terrible and ugly. Poor skills.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Giblin for six years. Thank god it has been for annual visits and nothing more frequent. He gives a thorough body scan and explains any areas that may concern him. He always runs on time, and his office staff is highly professional. My wife is also a patient, and we both share our admiration for Dr. Giblin.

I always find Dr. Giblin personally interested and careful in his exam. He has spotted two, obscure, cancerous skin lesions in the past on me.

Dr. Giblin was very thorough when he removed my son's wart. He explained everything to us efficiently and clearly. He took the old skin off, froze it several times and put a medicine on it. During the procedure, he explained what he was doing. I felt very comfortable with him and I would recommend him to everyone. He cares about the patient and does not create necessary visits.

Hushed us when we asked questions, didn’t want to run test another doctor said to get, seemed ill prepared for procedure and three weeks latter, site is still bleeding. Never followed up with us about test results.

He was thorough in his examination. He is conservative in recommending surgery which fits with my preferences.

The Staff at Anne Arundel Dermatology was very flexible when I was late for an appointment and got me right in see Dr. Giblin. They were polite and treated me like a person (too rare today). Dr. Giblin took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. Not only does he seem very knowledgeable and professina, he is quite personable and has a great sense of humor. I appreciate the referral from a friend of mine and will do the same.

Dr. Giblin is very thorough and takes time to go over any questions you might have. He is informative and explains the options or what steps are necessary to address your issue. Because of his diligence, he found I had melanoma and after results confirmed it had not spread to the lymph-nodes, preformed the minor surgery to remove the cancerous area. I am thankful for his expertise and trust him to do what's best.

Dr. Giblin is one of the best Doctors I have ever had. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, competent, and professional. He explained in details the surgical procedure and necessary precautions for my recent lipomas removal. After the procedure, he made a follow-up call after office hours in the evening, which made me feel especially special. Having a caring Doctor is a wonderful thing in life. BTW, his assistant Britney is very good too.

Dr. Giblin has been treating me and my husband for many years. He is both personable and professional. He is very thorough and patient, and spends as much time with his patients as they need. He listens to questions and provides understandable answers and makes sure you're comfortable before leaving his office and advises that you may call any time if you have additional concerns or questions. After a minor surgery, he followed up that evening with a telephone call. I would highly recommend

He was very rude and rushed our appointments. He promised results multiple times for my acne but nothing ever worked. He was also very passive aggressive and would make it very uncomfortable when I asked questions. This includes constant condescending remarks. I do not recommend him at all. It made the entire experience very unpleasant and I dreaded my appointments because of his aggressive behavior.

His bedside manner is wonderful. He knows what he is doing and does not recommend unnecessary procedures
