Very Helpful and Knowledgeable
I really found that this doctor has a great understanding of people and truly doesn't want to harm anyone by prescribing them something they think will hurt them. This to me shows that he isn't about the quick money of getting paid off for prescribing anything he's told to and truly wants to find what works for people and their conditions. 5 star in my ratings!

Cedar Hills Behavioral Health review
Dr. Dixon currently works at Cedar Hills Hospital, which functions as a crisis center. I did not feel heard in my initial visit with him, to the extent that I excused myself, sensing little value add to my current predicament. Since one has little control over who one sees in a crisis center, I would recommend writing down your concerns and questions beforehand, otherwise you run the risk of having your problems either mischaracterized or missed altogether. I would also ask how much time to expect. He did not assist me in understanding the discharge process very well, a major oversight since this is of course an important step. He did not strike me as being particularly interested.

Need more
All of my appointments have been over the phone. No video appointments, which I thought was strange. My intake appointment was detailed, more than any other doctor. Almost 90 minutes. But the actual appointments are maybe 10 minutes. Asks about side effects and then that's it. I've been on a lot of anti-depressants over the years and was struggling. We tried one new one and I became acutely suicidal. He said that medication doesn't cause that. Then he said maybe medication isn't working for me and to try ECT. I feel like he doesn't time to listen and try different options.

My first visit he asked me to tell him about myself and mental health history, and when I did (while sobbing) he cut me off and told me I would need to see a talk therapist for that. He told me I had previously been misdiagnosed, but gave me medications for that diagnosis. Our first telehealth appointment he did not answer any of my calls and finally returned my call 45 minutes after our scheduled time. He charged me full session price for the 15 minute call we had. I called him in crisis at one point,, leaving a message clearly in destress and was not contacted until our next scheduled appointment two weeks later. Our third and final session was also a phone call, he asked how the medications I was on were doing and when I tried explaining my concerns with them and their side effects he told me those weren't side effects of the medications, that call lasted maybe 10 minutes. I've gotten more frequent calls regarding my late payment than I ever got as his patient.
