Dr. Walid Essayed is an exceptional neurosurgeon and a true blessing to anyone under his care.I recently had a follow-up visit with Dr. Essayed after returning from an overseas trip, where I had an MRI done due to my busy schedule. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Essayed. I went through the ER at Memorial City, after I had a seizure. CT scans and an MRI revealed I had Meningiomas. He removed the largest one, and I was awake & alert right after surgery. My recovery was fast.

We met Dr. Essayeed after my mother had a seizure in the ER and had an MRI. He reviewed the MRI, sent us straight for a biopsy and then two weeks later a resection of a Grade 2 Meningioma. Dr. Essayeed came and checked on my mother every single day that she was in ICU. He was patient and communicated everything along the way including risks, and benefits, etc. He has went above and beyond as a surgeon to show his heart, compassion, as well as expertise in the field. We are ever so grateful for our experience with him.

Dr. Essayed operated and drained a bilateral brain bleed on me. The result was amazing. This improved my walking, talking, everything in very short order. He and his staff were very courteous and very mindful of my needs. I don't think I could ask for anything better.Don't let the 'foreign' name concern you. He is very skilled and speaks English and several other languages better than most native Americans. He takes time to visit with you to tell you what he is going to do and to review afterward. I can't say enough good things about him.
