As we get older, we seem to need specialists. Dr. Asfour was spot on taking care of my grandmother. All of my family now sees Dr. Asfour. I also like his sense of humor.

I met Dr. Asfour by taking a family member to an appt. He was very cold and short. He didn't ask who I was! (Med-School 101) He could not answer questions about my Uncle's condition, although my Uncle had been a patient of his for years. I asked several questions, like why is my uncle on 2 waterpills (that do the same thing), why isn't he on a blood thinner? Why are you diagnosing him a Congestive Heart Failure. He answered the pulmonologist diagnosed him! He's the heart Dr. ! I took my uncle to Rush, where they did prescribe him a blood thinner, took him off one of the waterpills. He relies on his NP to remember the patient. She was trying to look up for him my Uncle's records. Just a shame. Also, he couldn't get out of the room fast enough. I asked Dr. Asfour where are you going? I said I'm not done-he did that twice. As we walked out, I wanted to cry seeing all the older couples that might not ask the right questions and don't have an advocate. Just disgusting!!!!!!

Have been a patient of Dr. Asfour since 2008 when fortunately for me he treated me for an er visit. He placed two stents in my heart arteries. I then continued to see him regularly for heart maintenance. Then on Christmas Day 2019 my heart stopped and he implanted a pacemaker immediately even though he was on vacation. When I needed him he was there. I believe he saved my life. He is compassionate and without arrogance.

Dr. Asfour has been a god send. I've been to the ER 5 times, spent 10 days in the Hospital, had 4 blood transfusions and been in pain and absolute misery over the last year. My previous doctors had no clue what was going on and didn't seem to care. My daughter recommended Dr. Asfour and on my first visit he personally called specialists colleagues to go over my test results. And because of that level of care I finally have a diagnosis and the beginnings of a treatment plan that go beyond my previous doctor's plan of "live with it" or "eat liver." ("Eat liver" to a person who was in the hospital and getting transfusions because of being dehydrated and malnourished because of the inability to eat!). My only regret is not having found Dr. Asfour a year ago.

Dr. Asfour is very kind and caring. My husband went to the ER with a heart attack. Dr. Asfour took care of him. He put in a stent and a few weeks later my husband needed another stent and Dr. Asfour did that procedure also. I'm so glad that my husband is in this doctor's care.
