Great outcome!
I have never featured a bone before and was really nervous about my appointment. Dr. Akbar was so awesome, he took some x-rays and found that I didn't need surgery. What a big relief. He took his time with me and explained everything. Best experience and great out come.

He saved my life. I had a broken neck from a car accident (C-1 and C-2) and he did the surgery and all the follow-up appointments. That was 20 years ago and I haven't had any pain or problems. Also, he was very kind and caring. 30 May 20

I fired my Dr Up North due to his lack of person-centeredness. Dr. Akbar had very good reviews in this area. The reviews are well earned! Dr. Akbar began with a full set of x-rays which showed I had already worn a hole through my hip bone. Surgery was set ASAP. Dr. Akbar makes eye contact, takes time to talk to you AND listen to you! He will explain things in a way you will understand. He cares about you as a whole person and has YOUR best interest at heart! It is YOUR insurance paying for your medical care. You can hire and fire whom you want. I highly recommend Dr. Akbar. He did a top-notch job.

I would highly recommend Dr Akbar. He scoped my knee in mid March of 2019, and I was back on the pickleball court three months latter. I`m playing three times a week, and I feel I`m just as good as new. (for a 63 year old) I wouldn`t hesitate to go back to him again. Although, I hope I don`t have to.

Dr. Akbar is a top-notch Orthopedic Surgeon. I have had him replace both of my knees; they move back & forth better than my own did since I was a teenager! My surgeries went smooth, recoveries the same. I worried as they say nurses are the worst patients. It is also very important to note that he has a very sincere caring attitude. So he didn't mind the extra questions I had, being a nurse. I have recommended him to my family and friends.

Dr. Akbar is an experienced and knowledgeable practitioner, an expert in the field of orthopedics. He supplied me with all of the information regarding my options for treatment but also stressed that the decision was mine to make for which treatment I chose. Having worked in the healthcare field, I have very high expectations for care, treatment and outcomes. If you want the best of the best, Dr Akbar is the one to see.
