Don't care about their reputation
In any organization, first impressions matter, and the receptionist often serves as the face of the company. Unfortunately, when that individual displays a lack of professionalism or courtesy, it can taint the entire experience. A single encounter with an unwelcoming receptionist can lead clients and visitors to question the overall quality and service of the business. This place has a horrible receptionist. But it looks like they don't care about their reputation.

He is too old. Says 43 years of experience?? His brain is too old. My brain is better compared to his. But I was diagnosed(MRI) he said I am fine. Well dah.. my brain is still 20-30 years older. It's way better than me. So since my brain is still way younger that him... I am fine?.?? Taking my MRI results to a Doc, that was born a century ago. No offence. Time to retired

I went in with my sister to her appointment for neuropathy from a previous car accident. The first thing he did was ask if she was seeing a psychiatrist and when she asked why she should see one he laughed at her. He then did a sobriety test, laughed at her for having cataracts and not being able to see out of her left eye, and then gave her a referral for a blood test to test for aids and hep c. When I asked why, he said he was looking for an alternative answer. When I asked about when he was going to schedule her for imaging he got into my face and started screaming at me and told me to leave.

Dr.Rafanov is an extremely rude and unprofessional Neurologist if we can call him that. He doesn’t take the time to listen to what you are feeling and doesn’t even bother to examine you. He tells you to get blood work and MRI then come back. He doesn’t like you asking him questions and completely disregards you and any concerns you are having. We were there seeking help and came out crying because he literally called my sister-in-law crazy and that it was all in her head…What? We waited 2 hours for that. I told him that he was a horrible Neurologist and was not there to help but to hurt people and that he should not be practicing. He is a horrible human being who only bills the insurance for doing absolutely nothing. He told us to leave and we will not be going back. Community clinics have a bad rap because of doctors like him.

Horrible. I felt like I was treated as a drug seeker for excruciating and debilitating pain/tingling/numbness and loss of mobility. I had an MRI to rule out MS, and he told me I had the beginning stages or I might have fibromyalgia but we needed to watch it for a while and see what happened. I told him I was unable to take care of myself or my toddler son and that I couldn’t feel my hands for the majority of a year, only shooting pains up my arms. He upped my gabapentin & refused tramadol!!!

I was a patient of Dr. Rafanov's for 5 years. My very 1st appointment he googled absence seizures when I told him my diagnosis. It was not until my last appointment that he did a partial neurological work up. He then told me "You most likely have relapsing MS but there is no paoin diagnosing it because there is no treatment." What kind of Neurologist won't diagnose you with something you have that explains all your symptoms because they don't know of a treatment for it? BTW it is treatable.

I'll just put it here and leave it up to you. I've been epileptic for the last 7 years and Rafanov, V. my doctor for a moderate amount of them. Now to the point- I was on 3 now 2 diff med & a machine in my chest (from his referral). Now granted a doctor might have a prob w/client & want to stop seeing them (i get that), but you just don't stop filling their prescription on the day their out cause you don't want to see them any more YOUR SUPPOSED TO BE A DOCTOR you couldn't even communicate EVER

My nephew had a 9am appt. So, never having been to this Dr. We arrived 15 min early to find that the address given us by the receptionist was incorrect. We finally found the office(on the same street) but it was quite the task since there is no signage or address on the building at all. When we finally got to the right place it was 9:04 am. My nephew went in and I proceeded to wait outside. After over 2 hours, O went in to find that he had not even been seen yet!! " Because he was late" was all

It was such a horrible first-time experience to have to go in there and deal with the unprofessionalism of that office the staff is horrible his wife runs the front desk and she has no I mean no sense of professionalism in customer service she needs to seek a new career because she's very Petty Betty for someone to go in the office and ask one question you get so upset you go and leave them waiting at the front desk for a good 30 to 45 minutes it's terrible customer service

He is a highly knowledgeable professional neurologist. Such doctors are very rare always. It could be the result of his more than thorough education, first in the best school in the Soviet Union, then here in the United States. He also has a sincere wholehearted approach for every one of his patients. Takes the time each patient needs, which is why his office runs behind schedule sometimes. He REALLY takes the time each patient needs. And he REALLY is the most knowledgeable neurologist Ive seen
