Dr. Vivian Ahn, MD

If I could leave a negative star review, I would. Dr. Ahn essentially kicked my mom out of the hospital while she is barely coherent from the anesthesia and pain meds, still in a lot of pain and extremely nauseated, because she doesn't see 'a need for her to stay overnight.'

I’ve been seeing Dr.Ahn for years. I’ve always felt comfortable and listened to. I love her and December. I always recommend this practice when a friend or family member is looking for a new obgyn.

Thankfully this wasnt my 1st pregnancy because I probably would have cried. At first , appointments would take 2 hours. 1 hour 55 minutes of waiting for 5 minutes of appointment. Fortunately they got quicker. 20 minutes of waiting 5 minutes of appointment. She was very rushed. Didn't even have time to ask questions. Fast forward to labor and in the hospital she told me she wouldnt be able to deliver my child if i didnt deliver by 5pm because she "had prior obligations". I haven't been scheduled for a follow up but wouldn't even go if I was because I wouldn't want this doctor to get another dime of my money. I know there's not many reviews here and 1 persons experience shouldn't ruin it for another but if you are a 1st time mama she is definitely not the doctor for you

Dr. Ahn rushes appointments and tries to be nice but it’s obvious she’s quickly trying to get out of there. She was supposed to deliver my baby and ended up going on vacation (wth) and now I’m with Dr. Rene Perez, who stepped in to deliver my baby, and he’s soooo much better, personable, thorough, knowledgeable and answers all of my questions instead of “you can check online or read a book.” I couldn’t believe Dr. Ahn told me that.

Dr. Ahn rushed me each and every appointment I had during my pregnancy. I had to stop her from leaving the room because I still had many questions. She responded with a quick response when I wanted more details. When it came down to my delivery date, she tried to switch my hospital to Santa Rosa when I stated I preferred St Luke’s. At the last minute, her office staff called me to say Dr. Ahn will need me to report to Santa Rosa for my induction. I quickly declined as she previously agreed on St. Luke’s. She ended up not even delivering my baby. I never felt she cared about building a good bond. I do not recommend anyone feel this way during an extremely important time. I’ll be changing doctors.

Dr Ahn is very personable, professional, knowledgeable, and ensures you are comfortable during the visit. Her staff are professional and nice each time I come to the office. Dr. Ahn performed a very thorough pelvic examination for my yearly pap smear and found an abnormality and make sure I scheduled an ultrasound immediately. Her diligence and expertise helped me to be aware of 3 fibroids of unknown origin and recommended a MRI just to be safe. I really appreciate her sincerity and concern.
