Dr. Vivek Choksi, MD

I was referred to Dr Choksi by my primary doctor, to be checked out whether I would need a colonoscopy. I am 84 and at this age it is not recommended without a specific reason.When I visited his office, mid December, he told me right away that he was scheduling a colonoscopy for me DURING THE CHRISTMAS WEEK !!!!!! I asked him to schedule it after the holidays. He did not answer, and proceeded to end the consultation. I had paid my $45 copay for nothing. Later on, on the hospital's web page, I read his report. He stated that I HAD REFUSED TO GET A COLONOSCOPY !! Now I refuse to see him for anything.I wonder what was his reason for wanting me to have the procedure during the holidays. I respect others religious preferences, and expect to be respected myself. Maybe was slow for him in that week, because most people celebrate the holidays ?Hope others will take heed.
